Reporting into the Commercial Director MENA, this is a pivotal role for Yahoo! in the Middle East.
The Egypt sales team is made up of 6 sales people and growing. Being an inspirational leader, a great coach, a superior negotiator and a brilliant sales person are the key assets required to fulfill this role effectively.
To work closely with the CD to set key strategic ambition for Yahoo! in EGYPT and ultimately deliver against sales goals.
Create and execute a plan that accelerates share shift in Egypt towards digital and positions Yahoo at the center of this shift.
Manage and motivate the sales team consistently
To help develop and train the sales team, the objective being to make the team best in class.
Negotiate all trading deals within Egypt, and make sure Yahoo! take an increasing share from major agency groups.
Constantly try to innovate within the deals, try and refresh the way we approach the market on a regular basis.
Create even deeper relationships with MD and CEO levels at all agencies and key advertisers (equally important)
Understand the implications of the changing media landscape from a Yahoo! perspective and help drive our strategy as a result.
To create alignment within the team, ensure everyone has clarity around roles, responsibilities and how to achieve their goals
Be a key driver for the Egypt focus for Yahoo internally and work very closely with middle east’s leadership team make sure Egypt is getting the right focus and support to be a successful market for Yahoo in MENA.
To collaborate with other departments such as NYM, Planning and Strategy, Finance and others make sure these relationships help drive the business forward
Should be a thought leader in the market and represent Yahoo! at appropriate industry events
Must have a proven track record in media sales,
Must be an inspirational and proven leader.
Has to have very senior contacts at all agencies and clients
A person with gravitas, who has strong presentation and communication skills
To have a rapport with people and an ability to get the most out of an individual
