Internal Audit at EFG Hermes

Duties/Tasks:

Participate in the firm’s risk analysis and strategic audits/business initiatives.
Identify and evaluate significant risks exposure in the businesses processes.
Manage and conduct audit and/or consulting engagements as an auditor in charge and provide the necessary recommendations to rectify the unsatisfactory conditions and improve operations.
Provide added value recommendations to the firm’s policies and processes improvements.
Ensure that team members execute audits according to departmental standards and the audit program.
Perform and/or participate in complex functional audit processes that include:
Assessing risks and exposure associated with operational activities in the areas of audit responsibility.
Planning, designing, performing, documenting, supervising and reviewing audits.
Reporting on audit outcomes. Monitor and verifying audited management’s resolution of audit findings.
Assisting in designing tests and reporting results.
Ensure that satisfactory management, financial, administrative and risk controls are in place to facilitate compliance with the firm’s policies and procedures and safeguard the firm’s assets.
Identify and document weaknesses in internal control systems and escalate to the Chief Internal Auditor for further review and action.
Plan and execute audits. Identify and discuss issues with management to generate and consolidate recommendations for improvements through concisely written audit reports.
Prepare detailed and accurate audit trails which accurately reflect the results of audit tests performed.
Ensure that findings in internal audit reports are followed up with appropriate actions on a timely basis.
Perform special investigation(s) and document observations as directed by the Chief Internal Auditor.
Prepare timely audit reports in line with the approved audit plan for the Chief Internal Auditor’s review, for submission it to the Audit Committee.
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s in accounting or business administration finance.
Minimum 6 years of experience.
Excellent command of Arabic and English.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
Ability to build partnerships and work well in teams.
Can Identify, recommend and implement solutions for problems. Capable of making timely decisions and anticipating consequences.
Ensure deliverable are always of a high quality.
CIA/CFSA/CFE holder is preferred.
