HR Operational Controls Specialist at IBM
Responsibilities
Actively monitor controls posture to ensure audit readiness. Working with process owners, proactively identify areas for improvement and simplification
Highlight risks to management and recommend effective, efficient risk-based simplified solutions
Lead / partner with others to conduct education reviews, process walkthroughs or compliance assessments to identify problem areas. Provide recommendations to simplify or automate controls, and validate action plans to sustainable closure. Hold process owners accountable to meet commitment dates.
Exercise professional expertise and skepticism to ensure sound and evidence based Quarterly Management Self-Assessment of Controls (MSAC)
Educate HR process owners on lessons learned, and coach to embed improvements.
Support HR process owners during Internal Audits, ASCA, FBC proactive control reviews or other external audits
Ensure controls are clearly defined to mitigate risk. Collaborate with process owners and testers on defect root cause analysis, and effective and timely remediation plans.
Monitor management system / governance to ensure clarity of roles, and that accountability for controls posture is clear
Collaborate & share knowledge using Social technology
Provide subject matter expertise with a strong focus on data protection and privacy
Undertake special projects as requested.
