Risk Assessment and Loss Prevention Engineer – Oil & Gas
Job description
D'Appolonia (Rina Group) is currently looking for a Risk Assessment and Loss Prevention Engineering Specialist.The position refers directly to the Egypt Operational Office Manager and will be responsible for:
- Develop
HSE technical analyses and studies and relevant reporting, such as, for
example: QRAs, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, Safety Cases / HSE Cases, HSE Audits
- Locally
represent Company towards Clients preparing technical proposals and
managing subcontractors as necessary, following all relevant quality
procedures
- Provide Health & Safety and Loss Prevention
technical engineering expertise and guidance at the Cairo Office, as
representative of the Corporate Oil & Gas Business Unit and under
Corporate and Operational Office Manager Directions
The position can develop to manage HSE Projects in Egypt/North Africa and other geographical markets, according to the Corporate Business Model, from both technical and managerial perspectives.
Desired skills and experience
- College
Degree in Engineering Disciplines, preferably in Chemical Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Safety Engineering or Nuclear Engineering
- 5-8
years of working experience in Loss Prevention and Health & Safety
Analyses activities for chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas industry
(onshore/offshore), including working experience in QRA and Loss
Prevention Analyses, Consequence Assessment, Event Tree and Fault Tree
Analysis, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL
- Experience in the use of the main software packages for consequence assessment and reliability assessment
- Understanding of the technical issues of O&G and petrochemical world
- Fluency in English and Arabic Languages (knowledge of Italian is a Plus)
- Availability to travel worldwide on short- and mid-term assignments (candidates must hold a valid Passport and be able to freely travel as required)
- Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities, with special emphasis on the ability to interface with people at all levels and from varied cultural backgrounds, to make effective presentations and to write well structured, concise and well reasoned reports, proposals and documents
- A past employment record with Consulting Engineering companies in similar assignments
