Administrative Assistant
Duties
Incumbent is working under the immediate supervision of 2 Animal
Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) and International
Services (IS) Attachés, , manages
administrative/budgetary/financial activities for the USDA APHIS
Cairo Office and Northern Africa and Middle Eastern countries.
Incumbent is responsible for core budget formulation, financial
planning, budget execution and financial reporting in addition
to inventory tracking, procurement of necessary items and
services, and office administration.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
Three years of experience in accounting, administrative
processes, and report writing/analysis is required.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with general administrative procedures.

Education Requirements:
College Degree (including study in accounting) is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE:
English (fluent speaking, reading and writing) is required.
(This will be tested).
Arabic (fluent speaking, reading and writing) is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to develop and maintain a range of working contacts and
some senior level contacts in governmental and private sector
circles. Ability to carry out relatively complex projects and
prepare precise and accurate factual and analytical reports.

in Cairo/Egypt may receive a compensation package that may
include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources
Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer
letter by the HR Office.
