Operational Management Manager
Closing date 01-Aug-2023

Primarily:

·Financial Management – providing robust support for regional financial planning, cost management, tracking and reporting including close business partnering with Finance, and Global Business and Functions (GB/GFs

·Responsible for the management of cost planning and budgeting for Corporate Services Markets, including managing recharges for Corporate Services.

·Governance & Documentation – ensuring appropria governance is developed and implemented with robust documentation and supporting management policies to manage CS Risks.

·CRE Governance and Risk Control Operations and the implementation of Global Standards – Possess knowledge of CS operational risks and controls, work with Country Heads and Workstream leads to identify, remediate and record any risk and issues in line with HSBC policy and provide support to regional Risk and Control Lead in running an effective CS Risk & Control operation.

·Project execution – support with regional/country specific programmes assigned by Head of Operational Management MENAT.

Requirements

Knowledge & Experience
· Financial analytical background and proven ability in financial/analytical reasoning, including being able to contextualise financial data into business activities and conclusions
· Strong awareness and understanding of internal controls and operational risk environment. Demonstrated results in risk management and implementing operational controls

Skills

High level of personal drive and motivation to ensure delivery of a broad range of outputs simultaneously across HSBC
Proven experience of positive, challenging interactions with stakeholders
Proven ability to articulate issues concisely and in simple language to support problem analysis
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels across the Group
Proven abilities in working across cultures
Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively at all levels across the organization
Strong organisational, planning and management skills
