HSE Advisor
Key Accountabilities
Initiating,
reviewing, and implementing HSE policies and procedures for Rashpetco
activities, ensuring strict commitments and readiness to minimize risk factors,
assuring departments' commitments to annually set objectives and targets.
Lead and participate in inspections, audits and incident investigations and
continuously monitor the application of HSE practices and procedures, ensuring
employees comply with all aspects of health and safety procedures.
Implement HSE programmes and initiatives to enhance HSSE culture in-line with
Rashpetco strategy and Shell Group directives.
Facilitate the preparation of the JV yearly HSE improvement plan and engage all
the asset stakeholders to implement it.
Carrying and HSSE studies and surveys, compile action plan to address gaps and
influence the different involved department for implementation.
Drive the road safety improvement journey for both company and wastewater
contractors' fleet.
Reviewing suppliers and contractors' services, guiding, and advising them on
various acceptable methods of HSE management.
Liaising with Shell Egypt and the Shell group to drive programmes related to
Safety Refresh and other initiatives.
What we need from You
Minimum of 3
years’ experience in operational HSE in the oil and gas sector.
Educated to degree level, or higher, in chemistry, engineering, science or
similar subject.
Preferably IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent international body membership
Understanding of the concepts of occupational and process safety.
Skills in conducting audits and incidents investigation including Root Cause
Analysis skills.
Knowledge of the Egyptian HSSE regulations as well as the different sources of
international best practices.
Has the functional/technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level
of accomplishment.
Strong relationship and influencing skills (without formal authority) to
facilitate building an effective partnership with all organizational levels.
Demonstrate effective challenging behaviours to influence decisions.
